Free Zone companies typically take 5–8 working days from document submission to trade license. Mainland mainland companies take 7–12 working days depending on the activity type and approvals required. Offshore formation takes 7–14 working days.

Yes. Free Zone companies allow 100% foreign ownership. Mainland companies now also permit 100% foreign ownership for most commercial and professional activities under the updated local companies law.

Free Zone companies can use a flexi-desk or virtual office depending on the authority. Mainland mainland companies require a physical office with a registered registered tenancy contract. Offshore companies have no physical office requirement.

Mainland companies can trade directly anywhere locally and bid on government contracts. Free Zone companies benefit from 100% foreign ownership and simplified setup but are restricted to operating within their Free Zone or through a distributor outside it.
